My Novel is the #1 New Release in Jewish American Fiction!
'Found and Lost: The Jake and Cait Story' is creating buzz even before its April 29 official release. Find out what the fuss is about.
It's April, and we've reached my "Pub Month!" My novel, Found and Lost: The Jake and Cait Story, will drop on April 29. Most people familiar with my writing are surprised by this work of fiction. Here’s what they’re saying on Goodreads so far.
Most importantly, though, I’m thrilled that, according to Amazon, my novel is the #1 New Release in Jewish American Fiction. And that is from presales alone. My book doesn't drop until April 29. Overall, it's #26 in Jewish American Fiction, #393 in Jewish Literature, and #460 in Literary sagas. I know these kinds of numbers fluctuate, but it's surprisingly good, I think.
The novel follows Jewish guitarist Jacob Rosner and Christian violinist Caitlin Doyle, who, as young musicians in 1985, created something transcendent each time they locked eyes and finished each other’s musical phrases—until the music stopped. Forty years later, in 2025, their long-forgotten song unexpectedly goes viral, pulling them back into each other’s lives. This novel examines love, aging, faith, fame, and the passage of time.
I’m also thrilled that one of the top Substack newsletters, Oldster Magazine, will run an excerpt of the novel on April 14.
If you want to hear more about the writing process, my local NPR station, Interlochen Public Radio, interviewed me about the novel.
And author
recently interviewed me about the novel and my Jewish literary initiatives. You can watch the whole thing here.If you’re interested in reading an advance copy of the book in exchange for an honest review on Goodreads or Amazon, contact me, and I’ll send you an electronic copy!
I should also add that my publisher, Vine Leaves Press, is very much the exception when it comes to the current climate. They give voice to a wide range of authors, including many Jewish and Israeli writers. I am grateful to them for believing in this book. Thank you all for your support as I approach publication day.
Amazing that you were interviewed on NPR and it wasn't hostile. Can't wait to read it. Congrats!
You have great energy. Your promotion is amazing. I wish you success with your endeavor.
